Pineapple on pizza, yum!
Hello,
Yes, that was clickbait, but I just need to get something off my chest. After being on this planet for 32 years (or something like that) and trying all kinds of different foods, I honestly could not give a rat's ass about how people eat their food. Pineapple on pizza? I think I have only had it once and it wasn't absolutely disgusting or anything. I sometimes put KETCHUP on mine, but I mostly prefer some sort of garlic sauce or good ol' Murican RANCH. Yeehaw! 🤠
Anyway, I honestly do not have the patience anymore to care about what people do with their food. Some people's breakfasts are my desserts and lunches, other people's dinners are my breakfast. Some people eat a cheese quesadilla while other people a slice of bread with cheese. If I like something, I will eat it, and if I don't, I won't. It's that simple. I also don't consider certain cuisines to be inherently better than others. Every country eats whatever they eat because of their history, resources and culture. So far I have had Greek, Indian, German, Austrian, Romanian, Italian, Turkish, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, Lebanese and American food and everything I chose to eat was delicious. Some of it was even homemade.
Speaking of American food, that is another one that drives me crazy. People think it is just some boring burgers, hotdogs and sugary things. First of all, fast food in the US is a lot more diverse and, unfortunately, absolutely freaking delicious. It is one of the things that I always look forward to when going to the US. When I am on the plane suffering through a 12 hour flight, I think about Taco Bell, Wendy's, Freddy's, In-N-out and the Horchata at Circle K - the one further away because the one closest to where my partner's parents live don't have Horchata. Look at me, I am already a local! I also have to mention Cracker Barrel which has sort of become tradition for us to go there every time I am visiting lol.
However, I have also had different kinds of Chilli, cornbread, chicken and dumplings, Thanksgiving food - oh my god it's my favorite thing I swear-, spare ribs, biscuits and gray, hashbrowns, barbecue, and all kinds of Tex-mex. All of it is absolutely delicious.
Anyway, I am getting hungry.... time for some salami with nutella... jk, but I think one of my friends in high school swore by it at some point.
